Promobil magazine described four technologies that allow air conditioning in a motorhome to operate without shore power. Key components: a powerful inverter (with priority switching circuit), a lithium iron phosphate battery (LiFePO4) with at least 300 Ah capacity, an inverter air conditioner with a variable-speed compressor, and Dometic's N-Bus management system. The new Dometic FJZ7 in Smart Eco mode can run from battery for up to 6.5 hours, and the system automatically reduces power as charge drops, preventing a complete shutdown.
