According to a Sifo survey commissioned by Forsbergs Fritidscenter, 66% of Swedes either already travel on wheels or are willing to try — the highest level since measurements began. New registrations of motorhomes and caravans increased by 61.4% in the first four months of 2026 compared to the same period last year. The main reasons for choosing this type of holiday are freedom to travel anywhere (77%), opportunity for various activities (39%), and affordability (28%).
