According to IT.NRW statistics, the number of motorhomes in the Rhein-Sieg district grew from 4,385 to 8,257 units between 2019 and early 2026, an increase of 88.3%. This is the highest figure among districts in the Cologne administrative region.
A dealer from Sankt Augustin notes that customers have become more diverse, no longer just retirees but people from various walks of life. The growing popularity is attributed to the desire for spontaneous trips and a sense of freedom and adventure. Prices for new motorhomes range from 60,000 to 150,000 euros.
