As of end-2025, Switzerland registered 110,368 motorhomes, a new record. However, new registrations declined: in 2025, Switzerland and Liechtenstein saw 4,476 new motorhomes, down from 5,930 a year earlier and 7,588 in the record year 2021.
Fredy Indermaur, president of TCS Camping Club St.Gallen-Appenzell, notes the market is maturing and rentals are gaining popularity. Eastern Switzerland has over 60 official parking sites and campsites, plus more than 20 spots on farms and private properties. Prices for new motorhomes start at 55,000 Swiss francs; larger models can exceed 100,000 francs.
