The German Alpine Club (DAV), Worms section, is hosting a talk by mountain and ski guide Hans Thurner on 15 November 2026 titled “Freedom on 4 Wheels: Vanlife between the North Cape and the Aegean”. Thurner bought a panel van and converted it into a mobile home himself within three months, then gave up his flat and has lived in the vehicle since. The event starts at 18:00 in the assembly hall of the Gauss Gymnasium, Von-Steuben-Strasse 31c, with doors opening at 17:00; the venue has changed from previous events. Admission is free, donations are welcome.
