Barcelona resident Fabio Belnome has converted a 1998 Fiat Marea into a camper van and covered about 140,000 km in it over roughly two years. He has travelled through Europe, Asia and the Americas and is currently in Australia, where he plans to drive a further 22,000 to 25,000 km. His first trip to North Cape in Norway covered 13,000 km there and back. In March 2025 he drove about 30,000 km across Asia to Japan, then crossed 16 countries in the Americas to the Arctic Circle and continued down the Pan-American Highway to Ushuaia. The car cannot be driven in Barcelona because of environmental restrictions.
