The Travellers campsite in San Martín de los Andes, opened in January 2020, took in 13 motorhomes with tourists from France, Germany, Austria and other countries stranded by the March lockdown. Owners Erica and Maximiliano had expected five vehicles for a week, but a convoy arrived escorted by a patrol car. The site, covering almost one hectare, accommodated all rigs, with a designated corner for 14-day quarantine for new arrivals. Three families stayed at the campsite throughout the isolation period.
