Despite this, the region remains cheaper than the national average (41 euros).
The most expensive spots are in Weserbergland (50 euros), the cheapest in the Ruhr area (35 euros). According to one source, the most expensive campsites are in Brandenburg (45 euros), contradicting the Weserbergland figure. Seven campsites in the region made the top 100 most popular list by Pincamp, including Campingpark Kalletal, Camping Borken am See and Knaus Campingpark Hennesee.
