Germany recorded 44.7 million camping overnight stays in 2025, a new record. In North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), camping prices in 2026 will rise by 18% to €40 per night for a family of two adults and one child, below the national average of €41. The most expensive region in NRW is Weserbergland (€50), the cheapest is the Ruhr area (€35). Six campsites are presented: Seepark Ternsche (lake, aqua climbing park), Ferienpark Dülmener See (shallow water for children), Campingpark Kerstgenshof (pods, ecological focus), Haard-Camping (170 km of riding trails), Blaue Lagune (water skiing, 500 m beach) and Wannetal (quiet, Möhne river).
