Diana Cabeza, a 31-year-old from Toledo, left her flat more than a year ago to live in a 12-square-metre motorhome. According to ASEICAR data provided by the DGT, motorhome registrations in Spain in 2025 rose almost 19% year-on-year, from 3,082 to 3,667, exceeding the previous three years. Cabeza pays no rent, electricity or water, works as an orchestra singer and digital nomad, and monetises social media, where she has over 117,000 Instagram followers. In six months she has travelled almost all of Spain and part of Portugal; in February she plans to cross the Strait of Gibraltar by ferry to Morocco.
