After years of conflicts with residents, the municipality of Llanes introduced a system to regulate motorhome parking: 86 spaces at the La Talá site, a 48-hour stay limit and police patrols. From 1 June 2026, daytime parking in the town is allowed only at two locations from 9:00 to 22:00, with overnight stays permitted only at La Talá; violations carry a €500 fine. Over 325 fines were issued during the summer (25 in June, 60 in July, 240 in August). The Asturias Motorhome Association criticises the restrictions as discriminatory. The tourism listing shows planned rates of €15 per day with water and waste disposal and €20 with electricity, but at the time of checking the site remained free and the electrical supply was not yet operational.
