In Unterseen, near Interlaken, the first campsite in Switzerland that bans children has opened. The 'Lazy Rancho' campsite is fully booked after being converted to an adults-only (16+) zone last year.
The owners, sisters Virginia and Cheyenne Blatter, faced harsh criticism, including threats and fake bookings. According to Schweiz am Wochenende, the atmosphere has now calmed down, conflicts between guests have decreased, and bookings are scheduled for the entire season. The campsite is aimed at adults seeking peace; a family campsite with a pool is located nearby. Similar facilities are common in Europe, but TCS does not plan to introduce similar restrictions at its campsites.
