Chinese publications have released a review of three seven-day motorhome loops for summer holidays: Hulunbuir, Ili and Qinghai-Gansu. Hulunbuir is recommended for families with children (about 1200 km, 2–3 hours per day, temperature around 22°C), Ili for photographers (Sayram Lake, Guozigou Bridge, lavender in Huocheng, Narat), and Qinghai-Gansu for history lovers (Xining — Qinghai Lake — Dunhuang — Zhangye).
Costs
Summer rental of a Class B motorhome costs 800–1200 yuan per day, 5600–8400 yuan for 7 days; the total budget per person is 4000–6000 yuan. According to the second review, Qinghai-Gansu starts from 4000 yuan per person, Hulunbuir from 3500 yuan, Ili from 4500 yuan. Class C motorhomes (4–5 berths, separate bathroom, rental 800–1200 yuan per day) are recommended for families, Class B (2–3 berths, 500–800 yuan per day) for couples.
