Danish caravan owners are reluctant to switch to electric cars due to high costs and reduced range when towing. Sales of new caravans in Denmark have more than halved over the past five years: 755 new caravans registered this year versus over 2,000 five years ago. FDM technical consultant Tom Westersø Larsen notes that with a heavy caravan, an EV's range is halved, and a trip to Lake Garda would require about six charging stops instead of two diesel refuels. Camping Outdoor Denmark director Kirsten Munk Andersen adds that the decline is also due to the growing popularity of other holiday forms.
