Arla buys campsite to secure future expansion in North Jutland

Arla Foods has agreed to purchase Hobro City Camping, located next to the Hobro Mejeri dairy. The acquisition is intended to allow for future expansion of the dairy. The campsite will continue operating until the takeover, which must occur by December 31, 2026. Arla states that no final decision has been made on the future use of the site.

Denmark: cycling routes for motorhome owners

Denmark is among the European countries best suited for combining motorhome travel with cycling. The country has over 12,000 km of marked cycling routes, with many campsites and motorhome stops located near these trails. Short distances, flat terrain, and developed infrastructure allow using the stop as a base for day trips. Notable routes include the Baltic Sea coast, the island of Funen, the west coast of Jutland, and Copenhagen's cycling infrastructure.

Fire in a Caravan in Hvalsø

On Wednesday afternoon, police and fire services responded to a fire in a caravan at a campsite on Gundestedvej in Hvalsø. Firefighters arrived quickly but could not save the caravan; by the time police arrived, it was completely burned out, and the fire was under control. A fellow camper noticed smoke and alerted emergency services via 112. No one was inside the caravan at the time of the fire, and the owner was subsequently informed. Police fire investigators will examine the scene to determine the cause.
