In July and August, campsites in Lower Austria recorded nearly 156,000 overnight stays, up 15.3% year-on-year. According to data from the travel and booking portal camping.info, this significantly exceeds the national average in Austria, where camping overnight stays rose by around 8% to nearly 4.7 million in the same period. Of the 4.67 million overnight stays nationwide, about 3.6 million were by international guests. The figures do not specify how many of them stayed in Lower Austria.
