The author completed a 10-day camper van journey from Kyushu to Hokkaido and back, covering 5,697 km. Day 8 included sightseeing in Sapporo and a ferry from Tomakomai to Tsuruga, day 9 was spent on board the ferry, and day 10 involved a night drive to the home in Kyushu, arriving at 5:30 a.m. Over days 8–10 the total distance was 938 km, with average fuel economy of 17.9–18.4 km/L.
