The St. Gallen cantonal police are organizing a 'Camper Day' for the first time on June 6, 2026, in Oberbüren. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., motorhome owners can weigh their vehicles free of charge on the police station's bridge scale and receive advice on permissible remaining payload.
Overloaded motorhomes, according to police, impair handling and can lead to exceeding permissible loads on axles, tires, and wheels, resulting in fines and administrative measures. Experts from the St. Gallen road traffic office, TCS, and the 'Wohnmobilland Schweiz' association will also take part.
