Nelo Fernández, 55, lives in a 1989 Peugeot J5 Pilote R470 motorhome and rents out his former home. In a YouTube video he calculated monthly expenses of about €740, not the €650 cited in the headline. Main costs include €200 on food, €20 on diesel for roughly 100 km of driving per month, two propane cylinders at nearly €20 each, €30 on internet, €30 on hygiene products and €30 on medication. Electricity and water are free for him through solar panels and natural sources. Fernández says the key factor is using the motorhome mainly as a home rather than for long-distance travel.
