Since January 1, 2025, all French cities with over 150,000 inhabitants have established permanent low emission zones (ZFE), accessible only with a Crit'Air sticker. In Paris and Lyon, driving bans have been extended to Crit'Air class 3 vehicles. Fines for violations range from €68 for vehicles under 3.5 tons to €135 for heavier ones. The sticker can be ordered online from the French Ministry of Ecology's official website for €5.11.
