The Polish Sejm has passed amendments to the e-TOLL system, abandoning the calculation of road tolls based on the total permissible mass of the vehicle combination. The decisive factor will now be the mass of the towing vehicle alone, with a threshold of 3.5 tonnes. This will exempt drivers of pickups, motorhomes, and passenger cars with trailers from e-TOLL, even if the combined mass exceeds 3.5 tonnes. The bill has been sent to the Senate and awaits the president's signature.
