'Obstructive' caravan on the Isle of Wight
A caravan that had been on Whiterails Road in Newport (Isle of Wight) since December 2025 has been moved by authorities. It was first relocated to Gravel Pit Lane and then to a quiet council car park. The actions were taken under the Road Traffic Act (Section 149). Earlier, temporary traffic lights had been installed due to the caravan, and it was later damaged. Authorities say they are working with the owner and caring for the health of a vulnerable person living in the caravan. Fenced piles of rubbish remain at the original site.
