Denmark has proposed lowering the weight threshold for its road toll from 12 tonnes to 3,501 kg, but only for freight transport. Rumours that this will affect motorhomes are incorrect. The new rules have not yet been adopted: the consultation deadline is 14 October, with planned introduction from 5 January 2027. The proposal also permits a sleeping berth in a truck cab without registration tax consequences.
