Spain's DGT has issued instruction PROT 2026/04, updating regulations for motorhomes. The number of motorhomes in Spain grew from 48,000 in 2015 to 137,000 currently, prompting a revision of rules. The new norms specify ITV inspection frequency: motorhomes every two years up to 10 years, then annually; camper vans annually up to 10 years, then every six months. The distinction between parking and camping is clarified, and a new road sign S-128 is introduced for wastewater disposal points.
