The European Union has increased the maximum permissible mass for motorhomes driven with a standard category B license from 3.5 to 4.25 tonnes. The change will allow millions of owners to drive larger models without needing an additional C1 license. However, the reform will only come into force in 2028, and specific implementation conditions will be determined by each EU member state.
