Incheon authorities announced a reform of the management system for the camping site at the metropolitan landfill (Sudokwon). The main measures target fake reservations, which accounted for up to 68% of cancellations at some facilities, and expand benefits for large families.
Under the amendments, the full refund period is extended from 2 to 7 days before check-in. Previously, cancellation 2 days ahead allowed a full refund; now a phased scale applies. An off-season discount is also introduced to encourage balanced occupancy.
Large families are exempt from the surcharge of 5000 won per person exceeding the basic limit of four. This can reduce costs for a family of six by about 28%. The ordinance amendments are scheduled for approval in May–June 2025 (according to some sources) or June 2026 (according to others).
