RVIA to Require UL-Listed Solar Controllers by September
Original source: RV PRO

Starting Sept. 1, RVs shipped with factory-installed solar must include a listed solar charge controller, per Go Power! | Dometicⓘ. The RV Industry Association (RVIA) adopts the 2026 NFPA 1192 and 2025 ANSI/RVIA DC standards, effective June 1 with mandatory enforcement Sept. 1. Controllers must be NRTL-listed (e.g., UL), rated for input voltage ≥ array open-circuit voltage corrected for temperature, input power ≥ 125% of array max power, and installed per listing instructions. Non-compliant vehicles will fail RVIA inspections after Sept. 1.
