After the closure of Tomar's motorhome parking area at the former campsite near the municipal stadium, motorhomes have spread across the city. The Flecheiro park has become one of the main concentration points, though some motorhomers still park near the Santa Maria do Olival church. The city council designated car parks on Avenida do Hospital as a temporary motorhome parking area, but they are rarely used. The current council majority (PSD+Chega) says it is seeking solutions to create a dedicated motorhome service area.
