The municipality of Basconcillos del Tozo (Burgos) has opened a equipped motorhome stop near the N-627 road. The site includes 12 spaces, a rest area with tables and benches, and all necessary services. The project was carried out due to increased tourist flow, partly thanks to the proximity of Las Loras Geopark and the filming of the Netflix series "Lobo". Previously, travelers parked spontaneously near the sports complex, causing waste disposal problems.
Meanwhile, the municipality of El Vendrell (Tarragona) has returned to discussing the creation of an equipped motorhome area, which it had previously rejected due to possible competition with campsites. The proposal will be brought before the Municipal Tourism Council with participation of hoteliers and travel agents. The initiative comes from the opposition group ERC-Som Poble and has received support from all factions. The region already has a network of five municipal stops with five spaces each, with waste dumping service and water supply, and a maximum stay of three days.
