District council secures year-long extension to injunction over unauthorised development

One of Wales' oldest campsites, Dan Yr Ogof in the Brecon Beacons, will become adults-only from 14 September. The owners refuse to collect the visitor levy of up to £1.56 per night for infants and children, calling it a 'baby tax'.

Motorhome Dealer Group (MDG) has completed the refurbishment of a new branch in Wimborne, Dorset, on the site of a former caravan sales centre that operated for over 30 years. The £20 million funding was provided by NatWest after the group switched from Lloyds.

John McIntosh from Falkirk bought a 1977 Airstream Argosy motorhome decorated with images of Scottish footballers, including Archie Gemmill, Graeme Souness, and Scott McTominay. Instead of traveling to the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, he decided to tour Scotland to meet former colleagues and fans. McIntosh cited a lack of understanding of soccer in the US as the reason for not attending the tournament.

An unauthorized encampment was discovered by residents on Hilly Fields Nature Reserve in Colchester this morning, raising concerns about public safety and land use. The number of caravans on site is currently unclear. The incident has been reported to Essex Police; unauthorized stay on land can result in a fine of up to £2,500 or up to three months in prison.

A traveller encampment on the former Ketch Car Boot site in Worcester has doubled in size after additional caravans arrived on June 8. The site now holds around 12 caravans and 14 vehicles, including trucks and cars. Residents have reported noise from generators and quad bikes. Police have visited and found no apparent issues, but the land is privately owned, leaving eviction to the landowner.
