Supply of used motorhomes in the Netherlands has risen sharply while demand has collapsed. According to the Campee motorhome price index, prices fell 6.3 per cent in October alone, or €3,777. In the past month 1,636 motorhomes were listed for sale but only 370 were sold. The average motorhome on the platform now costs €59,950, while caravans dropped 16.2 per cent to an average of €17,990. The surge in supply is driven by higher costs: from 1 January 2026 private motorhome owners pay half rate road tax instead of quarter rate, and diesel and storage have become more expensive. Annual fixed costs for a motorhome range from €3,200 to €5,400, and with 10,000 km of driving total costs reach €5,510 to €7,710.
