LifeStyle Camper from Ukraine has presented the X-Rid, a caravan built for fully off-grid travel and light off-road use. Prices start at around €29,000.
Shell and chassis
The body is self-supporting, made of sandwich panels with a foam core and wrapped in a seamless waterproof coating. The seams around windows, hatches, the rear kitchen door, vents and air-conditioning units need regular checks. The steel chassis uses Knott running gear: independent suspension with springs and shocks. The permitted maximum is 1,500 kg, and a standard X-Rid can weigh as little as 1,000 kg.
Interior and power
At the rear there is a kitchen in the style of a teardrop caravan: a 70-litre fridge, a sink and hob unit with a flush worktop, storage and a hatch through to the interior. Inside, a modular dinette turns into a bed for two at night, and there is a separate wet bath. The layout includes a wardrobe opposite the bathroom, a TV, curtains, heating and cooling ducts, hot water, lighting, ventilation and an Alpine audio system. Power comes from an EcoFlowⓘ system: a Delta 3 Plus power station, two charge controllers and 370 watts of solar panels on the roof.
