Vabo Vision Milano: Design Camper Concept by Vagabond Vans

The CARAVAN SALON trade fair will take place in Düsseldorf from August 28 to September 6, showcasing the full range of mobile travel products across over 250,000 square meters. 93 exhibitors will present camper vans, including models based on the Citroen Jumper, Fiat Ducato, and Peugeot Boxer. From January 23 to 31, 2027, the boot Düsseldorf water sports fair will follow, expecting around 200,000 visitors and featuring more than 1,000 boats and yachts.

On Thursday at approximately 12:05, a motorhome left the roadway on district road LA23 between Attenhausen and Gündlkofen. Further details of the incident have not been disclosed.

Zweibrüder from Solingen will present its range of LED lights at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf (August 28 – September 6, 2026), including the ZB6T model, which received the Red Dot Design Award 2026 'best of the best'. The lineup features compact keychain and pen lights, as well as headlamps with brightness from 600 to 2,000 lumens, equipped with Auto Focus Technology (AFT). The ZB6T, with 3,000 lumens, automatically focuses and dims, a novelty for flashlights for which the company has filed a patent. Zweibrüder's booth is in Hall 3, Stand D22.

German magazine Promobil has compiled a list of 9 campsites with their own canoe rental, where you can start paddling immediately. Rental prices range from €20 to €172 per boat or person per day, depending on tour length. Some locations offer return transport for an additional fee.

A motorhome belonging to a couple from Westerwald caught fire at the Nentershausen rest area on the A3. The driver noticed engine irregularities and pulled onto the rest area, where the couple exited the vehicle before it ignited. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but the vehicle was completely burned out. Two propane cylinders were removed and emptied, and highway lanes were temporarily closed, causing a multi-kilometer traffic jam.

On Wednesday evening, a motorhome caught fire on the A3 near Niedernhausen, causing a full closure of the southbound lanes for several hours. The fire spread to an adjacent forest area, igniting a wildfire. The 66-year-old driver noticed smoke from the right front wheel and stopped on the hard shoulder. Two propane cylinders exploded, and about 2,500 square meters of forest burned. Damage to the motorhome is estimated at 25,000 euros; forest damage is yet to be quantified.
