According to FAITA Federcamping, HBenchmark and CISET, motorhome tourism in Italy reached 74 million overnight stays in 2025, generating an economic impact of €8.5 billion. An Ergo study (spin-off of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna di Pisa) found that such travel reduces CO2 emissions by 70%, fossil resource use by 64% and water consumption by 73% compared to traditional tourism. 46% of young Italians consider the environment a priority (European Parliament Youth Survey). The Salone del Camper will be held in Parma from 12 to 20 September 2026.
