Popular German motorhome Hymer ML-T gets off-road versions

A 1986 Lada 2106 sedan with 37,000 km mileage is listed for sale in Germany together with a 1988 camper trailer. The trailer sleeps two, has a gross weight of 650 kg, and a valid technical inspection until June 2026. The asking price for the set is 10,500 euros.

The town of Holzgerlingen is accepting applications for winter storage of motorhomes and caravans in the open-air swimming pool parking lot. Parking is available from October 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027, for a one-time fee of 60 euros, with priority given to local residents. Applications must be submitted by email until April, as spaces are limited.

A 34-year-old man has been sentenced to nine years and three months in prison for a series of arson attacks and attempted murder. In June 2025, he set fire to several cars and an occupied caravan where a man was sleeping. The court considered the treacherous nature of the attack on a sleeping and defenseless victim as an aggravating circumstance.

A couple from Moers converted an old 1973 Nagetusch motorhome into a mobile crêperie with a coffee bar. They bought the trailer on eBay Kleinanzeigen, spent two years renovating it while preserving the original exterior, but increased its weight to 1300 kg and added brakes. Since 2021, they have been serving crêpes and coffee at regional events.

The 2026 camping season in Schleswig-Holstein has begun with a moderate price increase. According to an ADAC analysis, the average price for a family with one child in the high season is about 39 euros per night, which is below the German average of 41 euros. Prices in the region have risen by about 3% compared to the previous year, while the national average increase is 7%. Many sites are reducing the number of permanent pitches in favor of tourist camping and are expanding their offerings with motorhome rentals and improved infrastructure.
