Mercedes Actros turned into a luxury motorhome for 2.2 million euros

German manufacturer Vario Mobil has unveiled the luxury Vario Perfect 1200 QS Platinum motorhome based on a three-axle Mercedes Actros 2553 LLL truck chassis. The 12-meter-long, 26-tonne model is powered by a 12.8-liter 530-hp turbodiesel and features air suspension and rear-wheel steering. The interior spans 35 square meters and includes leather, walnut wood, and tile finishes. The motorhome has slide-out sections, a garage for a car, a kitchen with an induction hob, a bathroom with a shower, satellite internet, and a Bose sound system. Prices start at €2.2 million.

Malibu Van has expanded its camper lineup with the Relax 640 LE XR, based on the Fiat Ducato and measuring 6.36 m in length. The key feature is a maxi-storage area at the rear, made possible by an adjustable bed that can be raised to provide 1.45 m of loading height underneath. The camper includes a lounge with two swivel seats, a kitchen with a two-burner hob and an 84-litre fridge, and a spacious washroom. An optional Protect pack adds tie-down rails and a removable PVC floor mat.

Experienced campers increasingly rely on two cool boxes for transporting and storing food. According to experts at Trucmania, this can prevent food from spoiling prematurely. The issue with a single cool box is that frequent opening causes ice packs to melt and temperatures to rise. Therefore, they separate perishable items from drinks, which do not spoil when warmed.

A special motorhome site in Rhineland-Palatinate allows guests to stay right next to an ostrich farm and watch the birds in the pastures. Several pitches are available on the farm. Facilities include electricity, Wi-Fi, shower and toilet, as well as disposal for grey and toilet water.

Malibu has introduced the Relax 640 LE XR camper based on the Fiat Ducato. Its key feature is two electrically adjustable longitudinal beds that can be raised to the ceiling, creating a cargo compartment with a height of 1450 mm. This space can accommodate four bicycles, two e-bikes, or an enduro motorcycle. The beds are over 2 meters long. The 6.36-meter-long and 2.10-meter-wide model includes a kitchen with an 84-liter refrigerator, a bathroom with a shower, and a Truma Combi 6 D + E diesel heater. Three diesel engines are available: 140, 160, and 180 hp. The world premiere will take place at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf from August 28 to September 6, 2026.
