Camper van of German citizen burns out in Lithuania

On the evening of July 26, firefighters received a report of a camper van on fire on the 61st kilometer of the Kaunas–Marijampolė road, near Grigaliūnai village, Kazlų Rūda municipality. The Fiat Ducato camper was fully engulfed in flames upon arrival. The vehicle and all household items inside were completely destroyed. The driver was identified as a German citizen. Camper fire in Kaišiadorys district destroys outdoor kitchen

On July 13 at about 12:04 p.m., firefighters were called to Morkūnų Street in Mediniai Strėvininkai village after a camper fire spread to an outbuilding. Upon arrival, the outdoor kitchen with an extension was burning; the camper, a Zuggabel, was already destroyed. The fire burned off the kitchen roof, damaged three exterior walls, and caused smoke damage. No smoke detector was present. An Opel car was saved. An investigation is ongoing.
