German camper van manufacturer Rhön Camper enters French market

In the Meuse department, known for its camper-friendly infrastructure, a new motorhome stopover has opened in Dieue-sur-Meuse. The site offers 10 pitches directly on the Meuse River, with waste disposal and fresh water services, but no electricity. Parking and services cost €5 plus a €0.66 tourist tax.

Developer Bastien Bertorello from Salon-de-Provence launched Road Trip Planner, an online tool that creates motorhome routes based on a set daily driving time (1 to 10 hours). The service automatically splits the trip into realistic stages, finds campsites, paid service areas, and points of interest near arrival points. The tool does not replace GPS and does not provide real-time navigation. Free trial (2 attempts) is available, with a premium subscription at €4.99 per month or one-off packages from €2.99 per trip.

A documentary aired on TF1+ follows four families on motorhome trips from Iceland to Latin America, including a convoy of 19 vehicles. The film covers custom vehicle conversions and unexpected events during the journeys.

AL-KO VTE has launched a retrofitting kit that allows connecting and controlling key motorhome functions via smartphone without altering existing wiring. The system installs in about two hours and is compatible with LIN-BUS, CI-BUS, and CAN-BUS protocols, enabling communication with most installed heating, air conditioning, and refrigerator systems. Three kits are available: two for CBE systems and one for Nordelettronica. Installation is carried out at AL-KO service centers and certified dealers across Europe.

Autostar has launched the Performance P660, a 6.59 m profiled motorhome. It includes a garage for one or two bicycles, accessible from both outside and inside. Built on a Fiat Ducato chassis with a 2.2 L (140 hp) engine, it offers two berths and starts at €69,690.
