German company Rhoen Camper has unveiled The New Ultimate, based on the Volkswagen Transporter T7 with a short wheelbase (5.05 m). Its key feature is an inflatable roof tent with side opening, creating a sleeping area of 200×140 cm without taking up interior space. Inside, there is an induction hob, a 200 Ah lithium-ion battery, and a 3000 W inverter; no gas. Prices in Germany start at 74,990 euros for the version with a 2.0 TDI 110 hp and manual transmission.
Knaus is expanding its partnership with Volkswagen, offering two full profile lines on the Crafter chassis for the 2027 season, including the updated Sky TI. Models 650 MEG and 700 DEG feature twin beds, a double heated floor, a 100 Ah lithium iron phosphate battery, and a Trumaⓘ diesel heater. Only 15 models will be sold in France, and the Sky TI 650 MEG will not be available on the local market. Prices in Germany start at 99,900 euros.
