German manufacturer Sunlight has started series production of the all-wheel-drive Ibex 4x4 camper based on the VW Crafter. Previously shown as a concept, the model has undergone testing in Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Order intake will begin in summer 2026, with the price yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Dethleffs has presented the new Globetrail Performance Classic camper based on the Volkswagen Crafter. The 5.98-meter model is designed for two people, features a 2.0 TDI engine with 140 hp, and has a maximum permissible mass of 3.5 tonnes, allowing it to be driven with a standard driving license.
