Munich-based startup roadsurfer, founded in 2016, has expanded its fleet from 25 to roughly 10,000 campers and motorhomes by its tenth anniversary. The company operates about 100 stations in 16 countries and has sent around 420,000 people on trips.
The average booking length has risen to 110 days, indicating a shift from spontaneous to planned vanlife. Summer prices remain stable, starting at 125 euros per night. The company has expanded internationally, including France and North America, and employs about 1,000 people. North America became the fastest-growing market with growth of around 120% in 2025.
