Contrary to the European trend, the Netherlands sees a rise in caravan demand among young families. According to BOVAG and KCI, 2,152 new caravans were registered in March–April 2026 (+18% year-on-year), and 2,985 in the first four months. Motorhome sales also grew by 9% (1,297 units). Experts note that caravans are often chosen for lower cost and flexibility, but warn about towing weight limits, especially with electric vehicles.
