Volkswagen unveils first electric camper ID. California Cruise

Volkswagen has unveiled the all-electric ID. California Cruise camper van, priced from €60,791, which is €5,295 less than the entry-level California Beach. Deliveries are set to begin in early 2027. The camper sleeps two, features a 203 x 120 cm bed, up to 48 hours of stationary climate control, and 2,000 W vehicle-to-load capability.

A Niesmann + Bischoff Flair 800 motorhome is listed for sale in the Netherlands for 389,900 euros. The base price for the 2026 model is 254,134 euros, and with options it can exceed 315,000 euros. The 8.87-meter motorhome features a 3.0-liter Iveco engine with 207 hp, automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, and heated floors. A C1 license is required to drive it.

Thorsten Volz from Erdmannhausen offers travelers a free overnight stay in his garden via the platform '1nitetent'. Guests can use a shower and sometimes join a shared dinner. The initiative aims to foster informal exchange among travelers.

Fendt will present the new Apero Activ 465 GE layout at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. The caravan measures 5.89 m in length, 2.32 m in width, and has a maximum weight of 1600 kg. German manufacturer Strada will present the new Avanti R camper based on the Fiat Ducato, measuring 6.36 m, at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon. Instead of a traditional fixed bed, the model features a spacious U-shaped rear lounge and an electric drop-down bed measuring 202 x 192 cm. The base version is powered by a 140 hp diesel engine with automatic transmission and includes GSRII safety systems. The kitchen is equipped with a 150-liter compressor refrigerator, with an induction hob available as an option.
