Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) has announced two new camping products for Caravan Salon 2026, running from August 28 to September 6 in Germany. The main premiere will be the ID. California Cruise concept — the brand's first fully electric camper based on the ID. Buzz, with a production version expected by 2028.
The second novelty is an updated California Beach with a modular system from Stuff Bubble, including an inflatable kitchen weighing less than 10 kg (dimensions 120 × 44 × 47.5 cm) with a closed water circulation system. Also presented are inflatable mattresses: a single (6 kg) and a double (12 kg, 200 × 134 cm), accommodating up to four adults. The kit is compatible with the Multivan T7 and can be installed by one person in minutes. Details on the battery and range of the ID. California Cruise have not yet been disclosed.
