From January to May 2026, 2,439 new motorhomes were registered in Sweden, a 56% increase compared to 1,561 in the same period of 2025. This follows a 39% rise in 2025. The abolition of the higher vehicle tax for motorhomes in February 2025, a more stable economy, and sustained interest in leisure travel are cited as key factors. Västra Götaland remains the leading county (about 20% of registrations), while Jönköping County saw the fastest growth at 104%.
