Honda unveils modular Base Station travel trailer

Honda has introduced the Basecamp travel trailer, notable for its lightweight and modular design. Weighing under 680 kg (1500 lbs), it can be towed by hybrid and electric crossovers. The design features swappable window modules for adding equipment, and the roof is equipped with solar panels.

California startup AC Future, in collaboration with design studio Pininfarina, has introduced the AI-THt travel trailer. With a length of 7.3 meters when collapsed, it expands to 11.6 meters, increasing interior space from 14 to 33.5 m². The unit features a 100 kWh battery, an air-to-water generation system, and 25 kW solar panels. Production is scheduled for the second half of 2026, starting at $158,000.

Daihatsu presented the KAYOIBAKO-K electric camper van concept at the 2025 Tokyo Motor Show. The 3.4-meter-long kei-class vehicle is based on a delivery van and features a pop-up roof tent. The concept is designed for urban logistics on weekdays and weekend camping trips.
