Dutch motorhome tax doubles but demand remains high

The road tax for motorhomes in the Netherlands has doubled from a 75% to a 50% discount as of January 1st. Despite this, new motorhome registrations in 2025 reached 2,863 by mid-December, a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The Dutch market continues to grow while other European markets have cooled post-pandemic.
