In February 2026, registrations of new motorhomes and campers in Spain rose 84.3% compared with February 2025, reaching 796 units. Sales of new caravans increased 52.6%, to 116 units. According to the industry association, the total fleet of such vehicles in the country is estimated at around 372,500 units, with about 30% used as permanent housing.
The growth is partly attributed to fleet renewal by rental companies and the continued popularity of this travel style after the pandemic. The second-hand market for motorhomes and campers also grew 14.6% (from 1,819 to 2,084 units).
