On June 23, 2026, China's Ministry of Commerce and other agencies announced a list of 40 pilot cities for automobile market reform, including Yangzhou with a focus on motorhomes and camping. Almost simultaneously, nine ministries issued 17 measures to develop the automotive aftermarket, including legalizing modifications, motorhome rental, and campsite construction. In 2025, motorhome sales in China exceeded 20,000 units for the first time, and sales of new energy motorhomes grew by 261.2% compared to 2024. The market is expected to grow by 15–20% in 2026.
