Shidai Xin'an, a subsidiary of CATL, has unveiled the Kaiyue Ningjie A68 motorhome on an all-wheel-drive skateboard chassis. The model features a 68 kWh CATL battery, a 400-volt platform, and two electric motors with a combined output of 270 kW. The claimed range under the CHTC cycle is 800 km, with fuel consumption of about 8 L/100 km. The price is 468,000 yuan.
Earlier, on May 15, Shidai Xin'an presented the Xinlan brand and its first electric vehicle chassis for motorhomes in Beijing. The chassis uses a hoodless ONE BOX design, increasing usable space by 20% and reducing floor height to 450 mm. It is equipped with two electric motors delivering 270 kW, enabling acceleration to 100 km/h in 10 seconds, and a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 68 kWh, providing an electric-only range of over 230 km. In extended-range mode, total range exceeds 800 km. The chassis integrates life support, air conditioning, and control systems, simplifying retrofitting and reducing conversion costs by 30,000–50,000 yuan.
